"If you are
looking for a jazz music project that puts a fresh
spin on classic jazz favorites in a very authentic
manner, "Small Day Tomorrow" is a perfect
selection. The bonus, which is quite refreshing. is
that all of tracks sound as if you are listening to
a live group in your favorite jazz night spot; that
is, they lack overproduction and that
"fix-in-the-mix" almost "too perfect" sound that's
so characteristic of most of today's recordings.
With today's technology assuring that virtually
anything recorded (even voices of tone-deaf
crooners) will be perfected with a push of a button
or a click of a mouse, it is very difficult to
discern real talent - until, of course, you hear
the live performances! The vocalist and the
musicians on this project kept it real and that's a
definite plus!"
