From the opening song, "Perfect Imperfections," a swinging, humorous, sci-fi social commentary, the listener is in for a fresh variety of jazz songs. There's the infectious, funky bossa groove of "School Of Love" and the mixture of jazz, reggae, and blues in "Can't Help But Wonder." And there are the achingly beautiful ballads "Good Day To Fall In Love" and "Serendipitous Love" as well as the up-tempo "Somewhere Safe And Sound" and "Bad News Goodbye." With songs which are both sensual and humorous, T.J. displays her vocal magic once again with "Dreamers And Lovers.”
Dreamers & Lovers features T.J. Graham, John Lightman and Barry Johnson, along with guitarist Charlton Johnson who plays with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, Count Basie Band and Bobby Blue Bland. Carl Wolfe on sax and flute is the leader of the Memphis Jazz Orchestra and pianist Irving Evans has been a mainstay on the Memphis jazz scene for almost 60 years. Also featured are notable local greats Rico Rumba on percussion, Michael Sweeney on bass trombone, Al Gamble on Hammond organ and Anthony Royal on trumpet.

“Quiet,
unassuming T.J., as usual, lending her superb
vocal styling to some surprisingly good songs. I
